This role is associated with the proposed Universal destination in Bedford, UK. Successful candidates will spend time at the Universal Creative Headquarters in Orlando, and at the site in Bedford.

Generate initial project budget estimates for various projects, including Retail, Restaurants, Attractions, Resort Hotels, and Theme Parks. Complete subsequent estimates as projects progress through design phases, managing in-house estimators and contracted estimating firms both in the U.S. and internationally.

• Review initial and evolving budget estimates for new projects to ensure they are on track with the budget, collaborating with project teams across different locations.
• Lead estimation efforts for large scopes of work, supervising internal and external estimating teams.
• Assist in negotiating contractor change orders for larger scopes.
• Research market conditions, develop location-specific cost factors, and analyze historical costs to maintain a comprehensive cost database.
• Develop conceptual ROM estimates during early project phases for financial analysis.
• Implement value engineering strategies to mitigate costs.
• Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities following company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be capable of presenting estimates to senior management and interfacing with international clients.
• Supervise 4-6 estimators and/or external firms, requiring tact and diplomacy.
• Responsibilities include developing detailed estimates for projects ranging from $5 million to $2 billion, and creating a historical cost database.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields;
Master’s preferred. Extensive experience in construction and estimating within retail, food, hotel, and theme park projects, with knowledge of show and ride estimating.
