The Team

Our Technology, Commercial & Industrial Team focuses on advanced manufacturing, data centers, and distributed infrastructure. The team provides integrated engineering, procurement, and construction services for substations, renewables integration, HVDC, data center integration, and BESS.

The Opportunity

As an Electrical Project Engineer you may:

  • Act as a technical specialist or project lead on substation projects up to 765 kV.
  • Develop protection/control and physical design deliverables (relays, panel arrangements, schematics, yard layout, grounding, etc.).
  • Review and oversee electrical design packages and provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Prepare equipment specifications, BOMs, and coordinate design activities with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Present proposals, designs, and project activities; travel to client and project sites for design reviews.
  • Manage design budgets and schedules; support business development and pursuit activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
  • Apply B&V quality program and engineering standards to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables, perform research, develop recommendations, and manage data.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary stakeholders on moderately complex projects.
  • Communicate client interests, deliver solutions, and support new business initiatives.
  • Mentor lower‑level professionals and assist in career planning.
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities such as policy implementation, timesheet approvals, and expense reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High‑voltage substation design experience (physical and/or protection & controls).
  • Project lead or technical specialist experience with utility substation projects.
  • QA/QC review experience.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum five years of related work experience.
  • Active engineering licensure or registration to support engineer‑of‑record requirements.
Work Environment / Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment, based on manager discretion and job performance.
