Safety Lead – Rogers Electric

We are seeking a Safety Lead to provide technical safety and health guidance, lead training programs, and promote a safety‑first culture across our field and corporate teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical safety and health guidance to production teams, corporate personnel, and field staff, incorporating NFPA, ANSI, OSHA, and construction safety standards.
  • Deliver safety training programs for new hires, refresher courses, and site‑specific training across varied locations and conditions.
  • Travel up to 100% to field locations as required to perform inspections, training, and support.
  • Perform extensive job site assessments, including walking, climbing, and equipment demonstrations.
  • Prepare and maintain written safety and health programs (Site Specific), policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify safety training needs and coordinate development and delivery of training programs for employees and supervisors.
  • Participate in new process reviews, including site hazard analysis and training, to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Support implementation of controls to minimize safety and occupational health hazards.
  • Advise and support personnel in selection, training, and proper use of PPE; manage PPE inventory on job/work‑site locations as appropriate.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation using company safety management systems and other record‑keeping methods as required.
  • Promote safety culture through internal communications, including memoranda, newsletters, and targeted training programs.
  • Participate in and support various Safety Committees at corporate and field levels.
  • Review operating procedures to provide safety and health recommendations.
  • Stay current with federal and state occupational safety and health regulations, monitoring regulatory changes and advising staff for timely compliance.
  • Conduct on‑site safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with NFPA, ANSI, OSHA, job‑site requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Host safety meetings for small and large groups via online, audio, and onsite sessions.
  • Monitor, report, and support investigation of all incidents.
  • Manage post‑incident reporting and follow‑up investigations.
  • Respond to field personnel with ongoing safety support and guidance.
  • Review incident investigation reports (injury, illness, and near‑miss) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state occupational safety and health regulations, NFPA, ANSI, and strong knowledge of OSHA.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time required.
  • OSHA 500 certification required.
  • Experience using construction aerial, industrial, and earth‑moving equipment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency, completing them timely and professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
