Overview

Salary Range: $52,520/yr – $80,683/yr. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, and/or experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card.
  • Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
  • No illegal drug usage within the last year. Other drug usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • Associate s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have Airframe and Powerplant License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Musthaveavalid Florida driver slicenseand attendandsuccessfullycompletetheagency sponsored

    Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations  (LEVO)
    Trainingifassignmentincludesdrivingagencyvehicle.

    Useofagencyvehiclewould requireappropriatedrivinghistoryand passing agencybiennial driver’s physical exam.
  • Ability to operate test consoles, test equipment, and aircraft controls, or observe operation of system components to determine system performance under simulated flight conditions.
  • Ability to regularly ride and participate in test flights to observe and collect information for maintenance purposes.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze test results to diagnosemalfunctions.
  • Ability to adjust, replace, repair, inspect, and/or overhaul defective components.
  • Ability to perform structural repairs, modifications, and paintingon allaircraft.
  • Must have working knowledge of aircraft repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative and work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
