Instructional workload:
Fall 15 contact hours, Spring 15 contact hours, Summer 6 contact hours.
- Master’s degree in English, literature, linguistics, or applied linguistics from a regionally accredited institution, or MFA in writing or creative writing. Minimum 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying field and Master’s degree by August 2026.
- Primary face‑to‑face instruction with occasional mixed‑mode and online formats.
- Florida residency required at the time of hire.
Masters: $67,437–$83,387
Master’s+30: $72,267–$88,217
Doctorate: $77,097–$93,047 per year
- Application collection begins January 2026; anticipated start date August 18, 2026 (Fall 2026).
- Required materials: resume or curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts (degree conferred by hire), and professional references (three references).
- Faculty positions only:
Level of education per credentials manual. - Preferred experience:
Community college teaching, related work, professional licensure, honors, and continuous documented excellence in teaching. - Knowledge, skills, and abilities: teaching across multiple modalities, assessment alignment, curriculum development, instructional technology, student support, and professional growth.
Professional office environment with standard office equipment. Classroom setting may utilize microphones and audio/video recorders. Flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends; local travel as needed.
