Job Overview
We invite you to join our community of passionate Assistant Professors in Computer Information Technology at Valencia College. The role supports our mission to make education accessible and innovative while fostering student success through high‑quality instruction and collaborative engagement.
Responsibilities- Teach CIT courses and deliver engaging instruction across synchronous and asynchronous modalities.
- Prepare course materials, assessments, and instructional technology to align with learning outcomes.
- Engage students through active learning strategies, formative and summative assessment, and prompt academic support.
- Participate in departmental and college meetings, faculty hiring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer technology, or related field, or 18 graduate semester hours plus a master’s degree by August 2026.
- Experience teaching at the community college level, with strong instructional design and technology proficiency.
- Florida residency established within 30 days of start date if selected.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; not required.
Valencia College Pay Additive: $5,000 biweekly in addition to the annual salary.
Masters: $46,027 – $56,248
Masters+30: $49,709 – $60,748
Doctorate: $51,550 – $62,998

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment and may use classroom technology such as microphones and audio/video recorders. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, and travel locally as needed.
