Overview
The Walt Disney Pavilion at Advent Health for Children and Advent Health Medical Group (AHMG), formerly Florida Hospital, are seeking a dynamic and energetic board certified, fellowship-trained Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to help grow our program. Advent Health Medical Group Developmental Pediatrics at Orlando is the largest center in Central Florida. You would be part of a two-physician team with two nurse practitioners.
This is an outpatient and mostly clinical position with an active and expanding service. Developmental Pediatrics of Orlando sees a wide variety of patients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and learning disorders.
The new physician would have the opportunity to develop his/her own niche and interest and be part of a growing program in association with one of the most exciting Children's Hospital Networks in Florida. This is an employment opportunity through Advent Health Medical Group, a 600+ physician, multi-specialty organization. The Medical Group is a sister organization of Advent Health. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
This practice is affiliated with Our Walt Disney Pavilion at Advent Health for Children which is a full service, tertiary childrens hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 peds ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes.
We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the regions only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one childrens hospital at the center totals over 15,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.
These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and qua ternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida. In 2019, Advent Health for Children is recognized by US News and World Report as the best Childrens Hospital for newborn care in Florida. We are also recognized by The Leapfrog Group as a top Childrens Hospital for quality and safety, and we are a magnet designated hospital for nursing care.
