Overview
Advent Health Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained Thoracic Medical Oncologist to join our expanding oncology team at Advent Health Orlando. This position offers the opportunity to be part of one of the largest, most comprehensive cancer programs in the state of Florida, with a strong referral base and a reputation for excellence in patient care, research, and innovation.

- Primary focus on thoracic malignancies, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at Advent Health Orlando, the system’s tertiary referral center.
- Access to our state-of-the-art Advent Health Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized program providing multidisciplinary care across medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and subspecialty oncology services.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs, along with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
- Will work side by side with internationally recognized leaders in the field.
- Participation in multidisciplinary clinics, tumor boards (daily), and cutting-edge clinical trials, including Phase I research.
- Established infusion centers, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and radiation oncology available onsite.
- Call responsibilities shared among the group.
- Extensive regional network with 7+ medical oncology sites across Central Florida for collaboration and referral support.
- Advent Health was ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top 50 in the nation for six medical specialties, including Cancer, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, and Neurology & Neurosurgery.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
- Fellowship training in Thoracic Oncology is strongly preferred.
- Interest in program development and contributing to the continued growth of a destination cancer program.
The Advent Health Cancer Institute is the largest program in the state of Florida and one of the nation’s top-ranked cancer hospitals. The institute encompasses over 200 oncology specialists and cares for 8,000–10,000 patients annually. Its comprehensive services include medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, neuro-oncology, bone marrow transplant, pediatric oncology, and robust research offerings.
