Advanced Heart & Lung Transplant, Critical Care Unit Medical Director- Orlando

Advent Health Orlando is looking for a dynamic and energetic physician with leadership experience to join and lead our Cardiovascular ICU Team at Advent Health Orlando. Our new state of the art, 32 bed CVICU is also known as our Advanced Cardiac Surgical Unit (ACSU).

This position is a result of programmatic and company-wide growth as we continue to support and establish high quality Quaternary Critical Care services to our Central Florida Region. The physician would join AHMG Critical Care Specialists of Central Florida, a 100+ employed provider intensive care team, which reaches over 15 other Advent Health campuses throughout Central, North and West Florida, in addition to providing tele-medicine services across multiple states.

We care and encounter over 20,000 critically ill patients a year as a practice.

• Dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement managing ECMO, VAD, cardiothoracic, heart and lung transplant patients.
• Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, cardiology and pulmonology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular, Heart & Lung Transplant Critical Care program.
• Leading the clinical quality for CVICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams
• Active participation in regional, national, and international meetings and conferences
• Education of APP’S, medical critical care fellows and new staff along with community outreach; and program development.
