This role is intended to provide the individual an understanding of how our Theme Parks and Resorts are developed and planned through the support of the Master Planning team on a variety of efforts across all of our Portfolios. Through the interaction with and guidance of Master Planning team members, this role will be contributing to preliminary design solutions and ongoing project efforts while learning the essentials of listening to partner needs, communicating effectively and providing thoughtful design options to achieve a successful guest experience that is balanced with our business needs.
MajorResponsibilities
- Develop communication tools for design discussions and general support for planning team and Senior Management.
- Utilize CAD, 3D modeling, or other graphic software to develop ideations such as Theme Park expansion efforts, new business opportunities and long‑range master planning.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include:
Architecture, Urban Planning, or Landscape Architecture program/experience. - CAD and Adobe experience is required, GIS experience is preferred.
- Prior internship/professional experience preferred.
- This position requires a portfolio of work examples – if available, include a web address with your resume.
- This internship will be an in‑person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
