POSITION SUMMARY:Manage the public art commissions, acquisitions, exhibitions, and tours for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority as well as the conservation and maintenance of collections at Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport. Oversee planning and arts budget while managing day-to-day operations to create rich experiences for passengers and ensure they have an exceptional interaction with art through our airports. Establish foundational artistic benchmarks in line with a public art program.
Plan, organize, and execute projects from start to finish. Manage art coordinator.
- Bachelor’s degree in art, arts history or a related field and five (5) years’ experience directly related to a public art program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience as an arts manager, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects or exhibits.
- Promote GOAA’s art programs as well as collaborate with artists, the community, and leadership to build awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A creative thinker with the ability to communicate design and creative output.
- Valid Florida driver’s license
