Technical Coordinator - Corporate Events

TEK Productions is a full-service corporate event production company creating immersive experiences in the live-show, business meeting, and event space.

What You’ll Do

This Technical Coordinator provides support in the production planning and development of technical specifications required for live business meetings, events, exhibits, theatrical performances, and/or video production.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Engages in the technical production process, working with coordinators, production managers, producers and/or technical directors as required.
  • Review vendor’s technical equipment, labor quotes and invoices for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and the production team in the development of specific technical equipment project plan.
  • Bring together CAD drawings and technical plots as needed.
  • Review crewing needs with the producer or production manager to ensure proper staffing assignments.
  • Organize, spec, and support the technical needs for breakout meetings and event spaces, working across all lines of service.
  • Coordinate and oversee load-in and strike of equipment on-site as directed.
  • Operate audio visual equipment as needed or instructed by the producer.
  • Assist in equipment inventory organization, equipment check out/return procedures, and equipment maintenance schedule for any TEK owned equipment assets.
  • Manage details related to CFTOD (Central Florida Tourism Oversight District) Fire Marshal submissions/inspections WDW properties.
  • Flexible schedule based on project priorities and deadlines; night and weekend work will be required.
  • All other duties assigned by management
  • Travel is required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 3+ Years experience in audio/visual services, film/television or live event environment is required.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and identify production elements technically is required.
  • Familiar with the operation of various audio/visual equipment is required.
  • Superb organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Proven initiative to complete assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Integrity in maintaining confidential information.
  • Knowledge of industry related labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of personnel at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs; MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and TEAMs.
  • Aptitude to learn new computer software and related programs (CAD, Vectorworks, etc.)
  • Physical requirements:

    move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing 50lbs or less; standing or sitting for long periods.
