JUNIOR ESTIMATOR
Construction Site Development
We're seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing site development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in construction estimating and project management.
What You'll Do:- Assist in preparing cost estimates for site development projects including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs using digital tools and software
- Obtain and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Support senior estimators in bid preparation and proposal development
- Maintain cost databases and historical project information
- Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of estimating or construction experience
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
- Familiarity with estimating software (Heavy Bid, HCSS, or similar) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow in the construction industry
