Your Role at AcoustiThe Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director of Safety in implementing and maintaining Acousti’s safety programs across offices and job sites. This role involves conducting inspections, facilitating safety training, maintaining records, and assisting with compliance efforts to promote a safe work environment for all employees.
In this role, you will contribute directly to the safety culture of our company by ensuring that safety standards are upheld and continuously improved.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Conduct routine safety audits and site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance
- Assist in implementing site-specific safety plans and company-wide safety policies
- Facilitate safety training for new hires and existing employees, including OSHA standards and PPE use
- Support incident investigations and follow-up documentation
- Maintain safety-related records such as training logs, inspection reports, and incident files
- Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to promote safety best practices
- Assist in fleet safety initiatives, including vehicle record tracking and driver qualifications
- Prepare materials for internal safety meetings and external inspections
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable safety regulations
- Travel to job sites and regional offices as needed to support field operations
- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by the Director of Safety
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 1–3 years of experience in safety coordination or a related role, preferably in construction
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire)
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other federal/state safety regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to travel and work in various environments, including active construction sites
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
