As a Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing safety responsibilities. You’ll work closely with project teams and receive guidance from senior safety leadership, ensuring that every jobsite meets Barton Malow’s high standards and complies with OSHA regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and audits on a project site. Correct or abate basic hazards, unsafe acts, safety violations, or safety issues. Effectively address basic project safety concerns that may develop or exist. Consult the Safety Manager or above to resolve any safety matters that are not basic or have project-only implications.
  • Execute project safety plans, Barton Malow safety manual policies and procedures, as well as OSHA standards on a project.
  • Lead or facilitate safety meetings and orientations. Participate in project leadership meetings to present and disseminate project safety matters.
  • Conduct and/or review inspections of machines, tools, equipment, vehicles, and safety equipment. Possess Competent Person status for such equipment to determine proper action and disposition based on inspections.
  • Lead or perform incident investigations for all types of incidents and compile documentation and summaries of such investigations.
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, And Abilities
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience in a similar role
  • OSHA 510 certification preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Flexibility to travel to the project sites
