The Senior Product Manager will oversee a portfolio of products within consumer‑packaged goods categories throughout the product development lifecycle. You will become a subject‑matter expert in the new product development stage‑gate process, working closely with stakeholders to provide guidance, next steps, deliverables, follow‑up action items and risk mitigation. You will manage the progress of product development projects that contribute to the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of project management for approved product development projects.
- Create competitive landscapes for new product ideas and complete opportunity assessments.
- Develop cohesive project plans with critical paths, task dependencies, and milestones.
- Manage portfolio profitability, cost‑reduction projects, product mix suggestions, and development initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional teams by influence to meet project timelines.
- Collaborate with sales to identify market opportunities and category gaps.
- Serve as the primary contact for all projects, facilitating updates, meetings, communication, and reports.
- Align time and resources with business priorities, escalating risks or constraints to upper management.
- Estimate, track, and report financial needs for each project.
- Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Follow the phase‑gate process for project execution.
- Evaluate product performance and recommend improvements.
- Manage product end‑of‑life processes and create long‑term product road maps.
- Drive performance via line extensions or discontinuations based on market dynamics and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–10 years’ experience in product development of manufactured and sourced consumer packaged goods.
- 5–10 years’ experience in project management, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Windchill Project Link, Microsoft Project, or other project management software.
- Excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Experience conducting various types of consumer research.
- Experience creating business cases for new product launches.
- Strong communication skills: listening, speaking, writing, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to foster teamwork and work effectively with others.
- Ability to assess situations, determine priorities, and make decisive decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and prioritization.
- Capacity to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously.
- Become an expert in your product category.
- PMP Certificate (or equivalent)
