Supply Chain Operations Manager

This Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to utilization management, strategic planning, inventory optimization, and supplier and physician relations. This role leads the centralized procurement, customer service, electronic catalog, and warehouse management information systems functions to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.

  Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare logistics, procurement, distribution center management, electronic data interchange (EDI), project management, and warehouse management information systems (WMIS).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, dock equipment).
• Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or leadership within healthcare or a related industry.
• Minimum 4 years of direct leadership experience required.

• Develops and maintains job descriptions and staffing structures for all areas within Supply Chain Operations.
• Oversees HR functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitors operating budgets, expenses, and performance metrics to achieve departmental goals.
• Prepares and reviews monthly procurement and systems reports.
• Provides strong leadership, communication, and motivation across teams.
• Ensures compliance with receiving and quality assurance policies.
• Establishes and maintains continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs and reporting mechanisms.

• Stays informed on industry trends, including GPO relationships, outsourcing, regulatory standards, logistics, and emerging technologies.
• Maintains professional growth through ongoing education and industry engagement.
• Demonstrates advanced analytical, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• Builds and maintains strong business relationships with vendor partners.
• Anticipates challenges, manages ambiguity, and drives problem-solving initiatives.
