Responsible for sourcing and developing the supply chain for designated categories of goods and services. The Buyer ensures timely and cost-effective procurement solutions, supports product line changes for non-strategic materials, and delivers tactical purchasing services to meet operational requirements for Sky Chefs Customer Service Center in MCA.

Strategic Sourcing & Collaboration

• Partner with Customer Service Centers and cross-functional teams to identify current and future sourcing needs, determine optimal fulfillment strategies, and monitor performance.
• Drive supplier development initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Address vendor performance issues promptly; analyze alternatives and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Identify and onboard qualified vendors that meet LSG standards and compliance requirements.

Cost Optimization

• Achieve year-over-year cost reductions through product standardization and competitive sourcing.
• Leverage market knowledge and supplier capabilities to guide stakeholders toward cost-effective, innovative solutions.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure procurement activities align with customer specifications, quality standards, and pricing parameters.
• Maintain accurate SAP Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage purchase orders to support inventory and production needs.
• Support month-end inventory processes, including reconciliation and reporting.
• Analyze forecasts, lead times, and delivery schedules to optimize order quantities.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Materials and Program Management teams on special projects and operational improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience required.

Technical Skills

• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating forecasts, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
