Responsibilities

  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Support the Area Team model by recruiting, selecting, and equipping Area Teams
    • Greet and receive guests
    • Answer and direct phone calls and retrieve messages
    • Create, update, and distribute ministry materials
    • Order products and office supplies, maintain inventory, and fulfill resource requests
    • Process printing orders and submit business card/graphics orders through the Marketing Toolbox
    • Gather data and provide standard reports and statistical analysis
    • Order and manage holiday card mailings
    • Participate in ongoing training in applicable software applications
    • Train, schedule, and oversee volunteers for administrative tasks
    • Ensure Salesforce accuracy regarding volunteer contacts and campaign participation
    • Provide event administrative support (registration, name tags, materials, follow‑up)
  • Development Duties:
    • Enter daily donor updates into Salesforce
    • Document constituent communications and touch points in Salesforce
    • Complete donor touchpoints requested by the Area Director (e.g., thank‑you calls)
    • Run reports and provide mailing lists
    • Follow the New Donor welcome process and mail timely thank‑you cards and welcome packets
    • Write and mail constituent and donor communication cards (birthday, prayer, sympathy, etc.)
    • Use approved thank‑you designs or obtain approval for locally created designs
    • Coordinate timely gift acknowledgement/thank‑you card mailings (including recurring monthly donors)
    • Coordinate lapsed donor calls/cards with volunteer support
    • Manage email promotions with Marketing
    • Organize and complete donor cultivation projects (e.g., year‑over‑year comparisons)
  • Accounting and Income Submission:
    • Follow Joni & Friends Accounting policies and maintain proficiency in Certify, Mineral Tree, and Sage Intacct
    • Assist with event payment processing
    • Deposit and process income weekly or immediately if ≥ $1,000
    • Pay and/or automate office expense payments
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Drive to the post office, bank, storage facilities, or other business locations as needed
    • Work occasional evenings or weekends to assist with events or workshops
    • Travel overnight when necessary to attend retreats or conferences
    • Complete other duties and projects assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni & Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience required
  • Salesforce or similar database experience required
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A self‑starter, team‑player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Previous administrative experience preferred
  • Competent computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet)
  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni & Friends is desirable
Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves sedentary office work. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, communicate clearly in person and by phone, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach to access files and supplies. The role may also require occasionally lifting or carrying items up to 20 pounds. Work is performed in a professional office setting with occasional movement throughout the facility.

Employees are expected to maintain safety and ergonomic awareness while performing all tasks.

Compensation

$20.00–$22.00 per hour. This is a part‑time position working up to 29 hours per week.
