Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join an established public accounting firm serving clients in Orlando, Florida
. This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-focused accounting professional who excels in tax preparation, return review, and compliance support while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

The position centers on preparing and reviewing individual and business tax filings while supporting workflow management across the firm’s tax operations. The Tax Accountant will collaborate with leadership and help oversee work completed by remote accounting team members to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met.

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, and business tax returns with a high degree of accuracy
• Utilize tax preparation platforms including Canopy, Drake, Ultra Tax, and Thomson Reuters software
• Review and monitor tax work completed by remote accounting staff located internationally
• Help coordinate tax preparation workflows to ensure timely filing and regulatory compliance
• Maintain quality control standards across all tax preparation and review activities
• Communicate with firm leadership regarding project timelines, workload management, and tax issues
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and increase department efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and tax-related support to internal team members when needed

Requirements

• 7+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate tax environments
• Strong hands‑on experience with Canopy, Drake, Ultra Tax, and Thomson Reuters tax software
• Experience reviewing or supervising work completed by remote or offshore accounting staff
• Excellent analytical ability and strong attention to detail when working with financial data
• Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting tax season deadlines
• CPA designation preferred but not required depending on overall experience
