Senior Technical Accountant

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000

Location: Orlando, FL

• Exposure to technical accounting areas including insurance, lease accounting, and procurement‑related transactions
• Opportunity to research and recommend proper accounting treatment under US GAAP
• Involvement in finance technology initiatives and process improvement projects
• Strong collaboration with teams across Finance, Marketing, Central Services, and Operations

• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, researching complex general ledger activity and documenting conclusions
• Record complex journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring proper financial statement impact and supporting documentation
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations on the appropriate accounting treatment for business transactions, including revenue recognition and fee‑for‑service agreements
• Support accounting functions including insurance accounting, iProcurement, lease accounting (ASC 842), and recurring entries
• Assist with special projects, ad hoc reporting, and finance technology initiatives and collaborate cross‑functionally
• Potentially review work, assign priorities, and provide guidance to team members if supervisory responsibilities are assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or graduate degree a plus
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
