Controller - Property Accounting
Atrium is partnering with a private real estate and development company in Orlando that is seeking a Controller - Property Accounting to manage their property accounting team.
Salary / Hourly Rate$150k + Bonus
Position OverviewAs the Controller - Property Accounting, you will oversee all financial aspects of the property management operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably in the property management or real estate industry, and a proven track record of leadership and financial management.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties.
- Develop and monitor property budgets and forecasts.
- Manage the annual audit process and work with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
- Implement and monitor internal controls.
- Maintain detailed procedures and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Lead a team of property accountants and implement new accounting systems to enhance efficiencies.
- Partner with third parties and offshore services.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in property management and real estate.
- Experience with property accounting systems.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent managerial skills and ability to develop and grow a team.
- Experience in a multi-entity and inter-company environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
