Orlando, FL | Onsite Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This Staff Accountant opportunity offers hands-on exposure across month-end close, AR, invoicing, and cash flow within a profitable, growing technology services organization.
This is not a siloed role. The Staff Accountant will work directly with the Controller, gain full-cycle accounting experience, and play a visible role in supporting a $15M operating business.
What makes this role compelling:
Direct mentorship and daily partnership with a Controller
Real ownership over month-end close, reconciliations, invoicing, and collections
Exposure to both GAAP financial reporting and operational accounting
Stable business with consistent revenue and clear accounting structure
Opportunity to build a strong accounting foundation and grow long-term within the organization
This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants real responsibility, not just task execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Maintain general ledger accuracy, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and issue customer invoices and support accounts receivable collections
Monitor AR aging, apply payments, and resolve billing discrepancies
Assist with sales tax filings, audit support, and ad hoc accounting projects
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Approximately 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience including month-end close and AR
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Excel (pivot tables, lookups); ERP experience required
This Staff Accountant role is best suited for someone who enjoys ownership, accuracy, and variety — and who wants to grow into a well-rounded accounting professional within a stable, family-style organization.
