They are currently looking to add an Accounts Payable Manager to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:$80k - $90k
Position Overview:The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role involves managing the accounts payable team, implementing best practices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. The Accounts Payable Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and contribute to the efficiency of the overall accounting operations.
Responsibilitiesof the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
- Manage and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Review and approve large transactions, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any discrepancies and negotiating payment terms.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, providing insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Sage or Oracle.
- Familiarity with construction industry accounting practices and procedures.
- Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
