THE WORK:- You’ll perform month-end close activities and prepare journal entries
- You’ll maintain and reconcile journal entries on an ongoing basis
- You’ll prepare and maintain monthly bank reconciliations
- You’ll reconcile month-end balance sheet accounts
- You’ll implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures
- You’ll ensure compliance with GAAP in all accounting activities
- You’ll support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- You’ll prepare monthly financial close workbooks
- You’ll assemble journal entries and complete thorough account reconciliations
- You’ll analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
- Onsite at client site:
The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. - With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of accounting-related work experience, strongly preferred
- Experience in Munis software or other governmental software / ERP is a plus
- Must be a self-starter that is reliable, responsive, professional, and have the ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients and other business professionals and handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and superior active listening skills
- Must be learning oriented and adaptable
- Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and to work on various assigned tasks as needed
- Must be creative and have the ability to build upon acquired knowledge
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Excel required, including Pivot Tables
