Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Overview

Compensation: $165,000 to $175,000 + Bonus + Equity
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)

This is not a traditional Controller role. This opportunity sits at the intersection of technical accounting, SEC reporting, and public company readiness within a fast-growing, publicly traded organization. You’ll work alongside strong leadership in a high-caliber, Big 4–trained environment with strong leadership, excellent culture, and long-term equity upside.

This role is ideal for someone who loves technical accounting and SEC work and wants to stay close to complex issues without being siloed.

• Support and partner with leadership on technical accounting and external reporting matters
• Drive quarterly-end close with a strong emphasis on technical accounting accuracy
• Lead application and interpretation of complex accounting standards
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos and position papers
• Assist with SEC filings and disclosure support (10-Qs, 10-Ks, footnotes, tie-outs)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and public-company reporting requirements

• Active CPA required
• Big 4 public accounting background required (audit or technical accounting focus)
• Direct experience with technical accounting and SEC reporting required
• Strong working knowledge of lease accounting, revenue accounting, and public-company close processes
• Experience operating in a publicly traded or public-company-ready environment

• A technically strong CPA who wants depth over volume
