Part-Time Entry-Level Accountant

Our company was founded in 2005 and serves the Central Florida geriatric population. We are a large practice with over 25 providers that serve skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and our homebound patients in the comfort of their homes. Our mission is to create a nurturing healthcare experience, empowering patients, by providing a physician-led ecosystem based on a foundation of science, technology, faith and compassion.
Position OverviewThis on-site role is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, making it ideal for students balancing coursework. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while learning best practices in a professional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate financial records by updating and reviewing balance sheets and general ledger accounts. - Transaction Management:
Process accounts payable and receivable, assist with daily financial transactions, and support payroll processing. - Reporting:
Prepare routine financial reports and assist with the preparation of financial statements while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. - Support to Senior Staff:
Work closely with senior accountants and financial managers on accounting tasks, projects, and data analysis. - Reconciliations:
Perform bank reconciliations and research discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software a plus, but not required).
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Hands-on accounting experience in a healthcare setting.
