An Accountant Supervisor is a responsible supervisory and administrative position involving daily oversight of accounting staff, as well as performance of several major accounting functions as a CPA. An Accountant Supervisor provides daily oversight of professional accounting staff as assigned, and is responsible for administering a complex accounting program in accordance with established policies and procedures in an on-line automated environment.

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager.

• Trains and supervises assigned professional accounting staff.
• Evaluates performance of subordinates for annual review and merit increase.
• Reviews trial balances, cash and investment reports, and bank reconciliations.
• Reviews debt service payment requirements for cash availability and budget appropriations.
• Maintains chart of accounts in accordance with guidelines promulgated by the State Comptroller's Office.
• Prepares and/or supervises preparation of financial statements, reports and fiscal analyses and reconciliations.
• Develops and revises accounting procedures as assigned.
• Analyzes and recommends budget amendments and transfers as required.
• Works with internal and external auditors in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Starting Salary Range: $87,500 - $107,600. Salary considerations are commensurate with experience.
