Financial Analyst

Davies Group accounting sector is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our Accounting Consulting Team. This role is responsible for supporting the managing general agency with timely and accurate general ledger accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory accounting principles.

• Perform general ledger accounting duties with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support accounting projects and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Partner with team members to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management using Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Provide analytical insights and support decision-making across the accounting function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• 2 or more years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and reporting).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
