The accountant position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and implementation of controls and budgets to mitigate risk, enhance accuracy, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Perform Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
• Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions
• Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed
• Conduct month-end closing and reconciliation
• Reconcile, investigate, and adjust accounting information
• Perform bank reconciliation
• Support department peers as needed

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 1-2 years of experience in accrual basis accounting, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing, reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
• Reliable attendance
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects
• Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment independently
• Self-motivated and proactive

This role is based in a professional office environment, primarily sedentary, requiring long periods of sitting and computer use. Occasional movement and physical exertion up to 40 pounds may be required.
