Salary: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. They will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.).

Reports To: Store Management

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non‑business‑like greeting.
• Creating a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
• Maintaining a sparkly clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
• Providing customers with current relevant information about the product.
• Providing quality service in the fitting rooms, following up with customers in a timely manner, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and attempting to add on to the sale.
• Providing efficient service at the cash wrap, offering Gift Cards, maintaining cash wrap cleanliness, and capturing customer information in the database.
• Sincerely thanking all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.

• Completing all duties as assigned by management satisfactorily.
• Being punctual and adhering to the designated work schedule.
• Being flexible and working well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• Following GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
• Performing housekeeping duties as required.

• Meeting or exceeding the Sales per Hour (SPH) result as assigned by management.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

• Participating in and attending all store meetings and other related functions.
• Representing a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
• Participating in all inventories.
• Assuming and completing other duties as assigned by store management.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina: ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.

Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
