Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return, and assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals. Responsibilities
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Create an environment that welcomes customers, answering questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store.
  • Maintain knowledge of product offerings and respond to customer inquiries, making suggestions and highlighting specials.
  • Check product quality for freshness and log sell‑by dates.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise, ensuring customers receive fresh goods.
  • Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Display a positive attitude and stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Adhere to all food‑safety regulations and guidelines, maintaining proper temperatures and logging temperatures.
  • Reinforce safety programs by following procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs as needed.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Effective communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Any retail experience.
  • Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, or writing).
