Position Purpose and Responsibilities
- Supervise Case Managers and Shelter Advocates by providing ongoing feedback, training, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
- Oversee and maintain safe practices within the shelter with staff and clients to promote best practices related to hazards and overall safety.
- Schedule Case Managers and Shelter Advocates to ensure facility coverage.
- Maintain and monitor grant reporting, and partner with Director of Residential Services or other staff as needed.
- Collaborate with volunteers to ensure they are assigned appropriate tasks to support the facility and assist clients.
- Manage shelter inventory, including cleaning supplies, grocery purchases, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director of Residential Services to provide training to other staff and outside agencies.
- Ensure all client services are delivered professionally and, in a trauma-informed manner.
- Coordinate and oversee facility maintenance to ensure the shelter remains safe, clean, and compliant with licensing requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and refer clients to appropriate external services.
- Manage grant funds appropriately and maintain accurate financial and supporting documentation in compliance with grant requirements.
- Maintain and oversee confidential client files, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date and enter data into the agency database.
- Report critical incidents to the Director of Residential Services and other relevant parties as required.
- Conduct regular check‑ins with clients, facilitate mini‑workshops or classes, and assist with problem‑solving and goal planning.
- Oversee shelter donations and assess which items are appropriate for clients.
- Must pass a background check and fingerprint assessment.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English preferred.
- Ability to identify pain points and determine solutions.
- Food Handlers Permit (can obtain after hire).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Can adapt to various circumstances and needs of survivors’.
- Willing to complete the required 24 hours of domestic violence training as mandated by the state of Utah.
$56,160.00 - $58,240.00 per year
