The UVU School of Education is seeking a student to assist the Dean with research for approximately four months, working around 20 hours per week.

  • The Research Assistant(s) will support all phases of the project by conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data, and assisting in the preparation of reports and publications.
  • This role includes contributing to study design, documenting research procedures, organizing and managing datasets, and drafting written materials for internal and external audiences.
  • The Research Assistant(s) will collaborate closely with the research team to disseminate findings and contribute to peer-reviewed scholarship. This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Education.
  • Must be a current UVU student in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A student within the School of Education (majoring in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Graduate Education, or University Studies).
Knowledge
  • Understanding of qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data management practices and research documentation.
  • Familiarity with academic writing, citation standards, and literature review processes.
Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize research findings.
  • Proficiency in organizing, cleaning, and managing datasets.
  • Effective written communication skills for drafting reports, summaries, and scholarly materials.
Abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a research team and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across different phases of a research project.
  • Ability to translate research findings into clear, accessible written products.
