Utah Valley University’s e2i program connects students with real‑world industry projects while providing paid, hands‑on experience. As part of an interdisciplinary team, students collaborate with peers and industry partners to develop and execute marketing solutions for real clients.
The e2i program is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Social Media Manager to support the promotion and visibility of interdisciplinary projects, events, and initiatives. This position provides hands‑on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and audience engagement across multiple social media platforms for our project teams. - Content Creation & Scheduling:
Develop, design, and schedule engaging content (posts, stories, reels, graphics, and short videos) for social media platforms such as Instagram, Linked In, X/Twitter, Facebook, and others as needed. - Brand Voice & Messaging:
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity aligned with e2i’s mission and goals. - Community Engagement:
Monitor comments and messages, engage with followers, and help build an active online community. - Analytics & Reporting:
Track social media performance using analytics tools and provide insights on reach, engagement, and growth. - Campaign Support:
Assist with promoting events, projects, student achievements, and program updates through targeted social media campaigns. - Collaboration:
Work closely शायद with interdisciplinary teams, including students and project leads, to gather content and highlight ongoing work. - Creative Strategy:
Contribute ideas for content themes, campaigns, and strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Familiarity with managing or creating content for social media platforms; experience with scheduling tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of social media metrics and performance tracking.
Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Business, or a related field (degree‑seeking student preferred)
- Skilled in compelling captions and creating visually appealing content; experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to develop and execute social media plans for companies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
- The ability to collaborate and communicate social media strategies effectively with project owners and stakeholders.
- Understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Analytical skills – ability to track metrics, analyze engagement, and make data‑informed recommendations to improve social media performance.
