PositionSummary
The Manufacturing Facilities & Maintenance Technician at Traco is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and supports the upkeep of building infrastructure, utilities, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot all production equipment to minimize downtime
- Maintain and repair all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and compressed air
- Support installation, setup, and relocation of manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Assist with vendor coordination and contractor oversight as needed
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Basic understanding of PLC systems (troubleshooting preferred)
- Experience with CMMS systems preferred
- Ability to self-start, stay focused, and work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience with HVAC systems
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and water systems
- Understanding of industrial automation and controls
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Manufacturing and industrial setting
- Requires standing, climbing, bending, and lifting
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
- Periodic outdoor work
- May involve rare after-hours callouts
