Position: MA/CNA/PCA-FT-Internal Medicine-Orem

Essential

Job Functions Clinical Duties
  • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical history, medications, and chief complaints.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams and procedures.
  • Perform tasks such as EKGs, specimen collection, point‑of‑care testing, injections, and wound care as permitted.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms in compliance with infection‑control standards.
  • Process laboratory specimens and communicate lab instructions to patients.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation and support chronic disease management.
Administrative Duties
  • Schedule appointments, follow‑up visits, and diagnostic tests.
  • Answer phone calls, relay messages, and facilitate patient outreach.
  • Assist with EMR documentation and ensure accuracy.
  • Support check‑in, check‑out, and insurance verification when needed.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Experience in internal medicine or primary care.
  • Familiarity with common EMR systems.
  • Understanding of chronic disease management such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).
  • Strong communication and patient‑service skills.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Accuracy in documentation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team.
  • Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs. as needed.
Hours

Monday 7:45 a‑5:30 p – 6 p
Tuesday 7:45 a‑5:30 p – 6 p
Wednesday OFF
Thursday 7:45 a‑5:30 p – 6 p
Friday 7:45 a‑5:30 p – 6 p

*** Please note that the end time will vary depending on patient load for that day***

Additional Notes

Work Environment:
Fast‑paced outpatient clinical environment with frequent interaction among patients, providers, and clinical staff.
