Student- Mechanical and Civil Engineering Lab Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Engineering student to join our team as a Lab Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic laboratory environment while supporting fellow students and contributing to the improvement of our facilities.

• Help students use the machines.
• Routinely clean lab spaces and encourage the return of tools.
• Assist in various projects to improve the lab.
• Provide feedback on how labs could be improved.
• Become familiar with the proper use of existing lab equipment.
• Meet periodically with the Lab Manager to discuss performance.

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Must be available to work 10 hours per week around the class schedule.

• A second-year student or higher.

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
• Experience in welding, basic power tools, and 3d printing.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Interest in hands-on work and problem-solving.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
