Position Overview
Utah Valley University’s e2i program connects students with real‑world industry projects while providing paid, hands‑on experience. As part of an interdisciplinary team, students collaborate with peers and industry partners to develop and execute marketing solutions for real clients.
Utah Valley University’s e2i program is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Photographer to capture high‑quality images that showcase interdisciplinary projects, events, and student achievements. This position provides hands‑on experience in professional photography, visual storytelling, and content creation for digital and promotional use. The Photographer will play a key role in visually documenting e2i’s work while gaining practical experience in media production and brand storytelling.
Responsibilities- Event & Project Photography:
Capture high‑quality photos of events, meetings, projects, and student activities. - Visual Storytelling:
Produce compelling images that highlight project progress, teamwork, and outcomes. - Photo Editing & Organization:
Edit, retouch, and organize photos for use in marketing, social media, websites, and reports. - Brand Consistency:
Ensure photography aligns with e2i’s visual identity and branding standards. - Collaboration:
Work with social media managers, marketing teams, and project leads to support content needs. - Asset Management:
Maintain an organized library of photos for current and future use. - Creative Contribution:
Provide creative input on shot ideas, compositions, and visual concepts.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and understanding of lighting, composition, and camera settings.
- Familiarity with photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
- Strong eye for composition and visual quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and take creative directions.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple photography assignments.
Photography, Digital Media, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (degree‑seeking student preferred).
