Utah Valley University’s e2i program connects students with real-world industry projects while providing paid, hands‑on experience. As part of an interdisciplinary team, students collaborate with peers and industry partners to solve real business challenges and deliver professional‑quality solutions for real clients.
The Business Strategy Analyst will support project teams by contributing to business planning, financial analysis, and strategic decision‑making for real‑world projects. This role is flexible and may include work related to financial planning, forecasting, market research, and general business strategy, depending on the student’s skills and interests.
This position is ideal for students studying business management, finance, economics, strategy, entrepreneurship, analytics, or related fields. Team members will collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, and clients to help guide project direction and ensure solutions align with business goals.
Responsibilities- Assist with business planning and strategic analysis for client projects.
- Support financial modeling, budgeting, or forecasting activities.
- Conduct market, industry, or competitive research.
- Analyze data and provide insights to support decision‑making.
- Collaborate with project teams to align solutions with business goals.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, or recommendations for stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, reviews, and presentations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Must be available for at least 5–10 hours per week.
- General understanding of business, finance, or strategic planning concepts.
- Coursework or experience related to financial analysis, forecasting, market research, or business strategy.
- Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and data‑driven insights.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or similar analytical tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students from multiple disciplines.
