Mechanic Technician

Overview

Summary: The role of the Mechanic Technician is to assist in the repair and diagnoses of on farm machinery at the direction of the Farm Supervisor and Repair and Maintenance Supervisor.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues on farm machinery, such as tractors, vehicles, harvesters, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all farm related equipment as instructed and or needed.
• Perform major repairs, fabrications and overhauls of equipment as required with direction and support from your supervisor and team members.
• Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power tools required to complete all tasks assigned.
• Complete required paperwork, such as daily reports, service/repair records, invoices, and time records in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety and PPE guidelines
• Responsible for the proper care and security of all tools used and or provided.
• The ability to professionally communicate with vendors to order and obtain parts and supplies as directed or needed.

• Bilingual – English/Spanish
• High School Diploma
• 4-7 years of mechanical experience
• Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
• Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance to Employee Handbook Policies.
• Ability to meet all security requirements and/or pass a drug and alcohol test (security sensitive positions only).
