- Local or Remote (preference for local, which would be in the Portland to Eugene area)
- Target pay is $70-80k base with $50k commission ($10k being the residual and $40k is new business).
Our client creates leading-edge technologies in closed-space communications that serve the needs of mining operations, rail, maritime, dams, oil & gas, education, or any venture where reliable communication is vital. Their wireless radio and data system installations can be found in every Class I railroad in North America, along with some of the biggest coal and hard rock mines in the U.S., Canada and Australia, and they install temporary or permanent comms in both private and public infrastructure projects.

- They have two revenue streams in the mining world, residual and new business. The residual revenue are orders that come in randomly from customers, sometimes they ask for an official quote others just place an order.
- The new business is new customers or existing customer with a new location.
- They need a hunter that will drive new business and grow new industries. This role will be focused on expanding their existing customer base in rail, ships, education, dams, and other infrastructure projects.
- This would be all of USA and some international such as Canada, Mexico and others.
- As far as location of the candidate - Can be local or remote
. It’ll be nice if they are local like Portland or Eugene so they can work a hybrid schedule, but fully remote is fine for the right candidate.
Under the direction of the CEO, the Solution Sales Executive is responsible for promoting the value proposition, products, and services of the organization. This position achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling our products and/or related services.
Core Sales Function- Promotes, sells, and secure orders from customers through a relationship-based approach
- Maintains a high level of proficiency in Radio technology allowing for effective customer demonstrations and assisting in the selection of designs best suited to customer requirements.
- Travel: up to 50% of time required
- Commitment to a positive and respectful workplace environment by leading and always acting and behaving in a professional manner.
- Establish and develop relationships with prospective customers in the assigned territory and market segment to generate new business for our products and services.
- Lead generation: research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their viability.
- Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
- Analyze the territory and market potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers.
- Create and actively manage a customer value plan building business from existing customers.
- Create new business plan that provides for market growth year after year.
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
- Know your competitors, understand their products/services and sales approach. Understand where we compete to maintain focus.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations and presentations.
- Update CRM and management with customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
