Responsibilities- Assist in the design and/or merchandising of floral items and arrangements for display/sale or in response to customer requests.
- Provide various customer services and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and proper space allocation for merchandise.
- Home‑to‑home tasks: handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously, package orders effectively, safely and efficiently, and keep floors clean, safe and free from clutter.
- Assist customers with locating and selecting items, and maintain merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
- Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, operating hours, and handling cash and change accurately.
- Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
- Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, present information professionally and work with all levels of the organization.
- Personal initiative and follow‑through to completion.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Possession of skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer service related to sale of merchandise.
- Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.
- Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices and safety.
- Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
- Experience in operating a cash register and making change.
- Helpful in designing and creating floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
- Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
