Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas. They conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and maintenance, and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Assist guests and help solve their specific needs in a welcoming manner.
• Thank guests and reinforce that we’re glad they chose Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and post promotional signs for GM areas as directed by leadership.
• Operate power equipment for moving merchandise or store fixtures, if certified.
• Change prices, set up and maintain merchandise, and ensure inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about total store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with relevant laws.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Climb ladders and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
