Position: Veterinary Technician at VCA Animal Hospitals Clackamas, OR

Veterinary Technician job at VCA Animal Hospitals. Clackamas, OR. VCA Hood View Animal Hospital, located in Clackamas OR, is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join their AAHA-accredited, small animal general practice.

Compensation: $ 26 - $ 29 / hour
* Negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Location: 16317 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4/10’s, Mon-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Closed Sunday and Holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
  • Venipuncture and IVC placement.
  • Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
  • Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
  • Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
  • Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
  • Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
  • Surgical preparation and assisting.
  • Anesthesia monitoring.
  • Dentistry and dental radiographs.
Requirement

Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state of Oregon or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon.
