While the focus centers on perioperative leadership, the Nurse Manager Surgical Services will collaborate closely with an emergency department designated as a Stroke Center and Cardiac Center, integrating streamlined handoffs for time-critical cases and supporting a strong orthopedics program that drives efficient trauma-to-OR throughput and exceptional surgical outcomes. Reporting to a Director of Perioperative Services and partnering with surgical service line leaders, the Nurse Manager Surgical Services will be supported by clinical educators, charge RNs, scheduling and sterile processing partners, and a collaborative, friendly team of diverse nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied professionals while overseeing operations, staffing, fiscal stewardship, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, and patient experience across the operating room and perioperative continuum.

Responsibilities- Oversee operations, staffing, fiscal stewardship, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, and patient experience across the operating room and perioperative continuum.
- Collaborate with the emergency department Stroke Center and Cardiac Center to integrate streamlined handoffs for time-critical cases and support a high-performing orthopedics program that drives efficient trauma-to-OR throughput and strong surgical outcomes.
- Partner with clinical educators, charge RNs, scheduling and sterile processing teams, and a multidisciplinary group of nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied professionals to drive perioperative excellence.
- Lead initiatives to advance patient safety, quality metrics, and nurse engagement within perioperative services.
- Ensure regulatory readiness and alignment with organizational standards while promoting a positive patient experience.
- Experience in perioperative leadership or nurse management within surgical services.
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and multiple departments.
- Ability to manage operations, staffing, fiscal stewardship, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and effort to maintain compliance and readiness.
