Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for Shipping & Receiving Associate position in Clackamas, OR. Our client is a well-established manufacturing company known for reliability, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer and vendor goods are received, processed, and shipped accurately while supporting efficient warehouse and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:Read, understand, and follow order and shipping instructions.
Ship customer goods according to specified directions and requirements.
Receive goods from vendors and customers and accurately record transactions in company software.
Complete all receiving documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
Arrange and coordinate various transportation methods for outbound shipments.
Operate forklifts and overhead lifting devices safely and efficiently.
Use measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, pi tapes, and calipers as required.
Interact with customers, vendors, and internal staff in a professional manner.
Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in daily cleaning of the work area to maintain an organized and safe environment.
Assist with inventory counts and related warehouse activities.
Report shipping discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns to supervision promptly.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
High school diploma or GED required.
Forklift Operator Certification required (certification available through employer if needed).
Ability to follow detailed instructions and shipping documentation.
Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and use of inventory or shipping software.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead lifts, and a variety of power tools.
Experience using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, pi tapes, and calipers.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Professional communication skills when interacting with customers and vendors.
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Frequent handling of objects up to 40 lbs.
Frequent handling of materials over 40 lbs using overhead cranes and other assistive devices.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs to waist level.
Ability to work in noisy and dirty industrial environments.
Regular computer use, including keyboard, optical reader, and mouse.
