Tool & Die CNC Machinist
Location:
Clackamas, Oregon
Pay: $30.00+ per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Day Shift (Full-Time)
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision tooling and die components
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Perform tool and die building, maintenance, repair, and modifications
- Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safe shop practices
- Competitive starting pay at $30+ per hour (DOE)

- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a tool & die or precision manufacturing environment
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience holding tight tolerances
- Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven experience in tool & die machining
- Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment without assistance
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- High attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software
- Manual machining experience (lathe, mill, surface grinder)
- Experience working with hardened steels
- Background in mold making or complex fixture building
