Summary

As a senior management/director level, this position is responsible for OBRC’s processing plants throughout the State of Oregon. Provide leadership, support, and strategic vision to plant managers and supervisors. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, administrating, and controlling all plant activities throughout the organization which includes ensuring the physical facilities are aesthetically maintained, operative and is in safe working order. Responsible for achieving defined objectives by implementing and maintaining production and maintenance benchmarks all the while in compliance with safety requirements.

Work collaboratively with the OBRC’s Chief Operating Officer and with other Director level managers, the CEO, CFO and other executive management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for production processes in all plants.
  • Ensure timely offloading & reloading of all route trailers, efficient processing of materials and inventory management.
  • Ensure and partner with other departments to adhere to safety, employment, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead production process improvement to provide for continued efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage budget setting and monthly hands‑on management of department specific profit and loss.
  • Partner with COO to lead strategic planning and equipment design with an emphasis on capital need assessment focusing on processing capacity versus demand.
  • Manage staffing levels and compensation within budget and efficiency guidelines.
  • Oversee facilities and equipment maintenance and improvements for all plants.
  • Supports an atmosphere of teamwork and positive team culture.
  • Adherence to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, such as wearing safety glasses, use of hearing and hand protection, and wearing high visibility clothing when required.
  • Adhere to all OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies such as Lock Out Tag Out.
  • Supervise and manage a team of employees including recruitment and hiring of staff, performance management, discipline and terminations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related industrial field, or in lieu of a degree, a combination of a High school diploma/GED and 10 years’ experience.
  • 5+ years’ senior plant management experience.
  • Continuous career growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibilities.
Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities
  • Be familiar with OSHA safety requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong executive presence and leadership skills.
  • Proven successful track record of leadership including leading people, projects, and processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meet specified deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work independently.
  • Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency and professional knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively manage people, plan and delegate workload, and manage employee performance.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring direct reports and assisting with conflict resolution.
  • A current driver's license and acceptable driving history is required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • May require hours beyond 40 hours a week.
