Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has a hiring preference for qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicants pursuant to P.L. 93‑638 Indian Self Determination Act.

Responsibilities
  • Supports communities to develop and implement climate adaptation and hazard mitigation plans, projects, and programs in collaboration with other Federal, State, and Tribal partners.
  • Develops and manages community climate adaptation projects with agency staff, leadership, agencies, consultants, and other project management staff.
  • Implements assessments, surveys, data collection, analysis, and monitoring for a variety of ANTHC and community climate adaptation initiatives.
  • Serves as the technical point of contact with multiple communities to provide climate adaptation planning and science recommendations for a variety of projects.
  • Provides technical assistance, direction, and guidance to communities, Tribal organizations, and other teams on planning, project development, design, and construction activities.
  • Collaborates with communities to understand needs and priorities.
  • Develops scopes of work and cost estimates for climate adaptation projects.
  • Works collaboratively with communities, partners, and ANTHC’s Grant Planning and Development Department to identify project funding sources, secure funding, and manage funding.
  • Reviews and approves cooperative project agreements, develops project work plans, schedules, and adjusts activities as needed.
  • Establishes and manages consultant contracts to meet schedules.
  • Maintains required project documentation, tracks progress using standardized project management tools, and prepares progress reports for external funding agencies.
  • Monitors quality control/quality assurance for all project related activities.
